Custom Rugs & Soft Furnishings
A rug is the one large surface a customer stands on while they look at everything else, so it sets the register of the whole room. We design hand-tufted and hand-knotted custom rugs, runners, cushions and soft furnishings to your palette, made to the actual dimensions of your floor rather than to a catalogue size.
Start a ProjectMade to measure, in your colours
Off-the-shelf rugs come in standard dimensions and standard colours, which is why so many retail floors end up with a rug that stops short of the wall or clashes with the palette. Custom rugs solve both problems at once: the size is cut to the space and the colour is developed from your brand, so the floor reads as part of the scheme.
We work in hand-tufted and hand-knotted construction depending on the use. For retail floors and high-traffic entrances we specify a denser pile and a backing suited to footfall; for hotel lobbies and private interiors we specify a knotted construction that lies flat, can be rotated, and lasts for decades.
Colour matching
Send the brand guidelines and any interior references and we develop the artwork or pattern in your colours, produce yarn and pile samples, and confirm the final shade under the lighting of the actual space before the piece is made. Matching is done in the room, not just in the workshop, because a rug that looks right on the table can read differently under a shop's lighting.
Durability and care
For retail we specify denser pile, tighter yarn twist and a backing suited to footfall and rolling, and we can add edge binding or a border treatment that hides the natural wear line. We also supply an offcut so a damaged section can be replaced later rather than the whole rug.

Custom Rugs & Soft Furnishings FAQ
What is the difference between a tufted and a knotted rug?
In a tufted rug the pile is punched into a backing and glue or latex-backed, which makes it faster and cheaper to produce and lets us change height and colour easily. In a knotted rug each tuft is tied individually around the warp and weft, which takes far longer but produces a denser, more durable piece that lies flat and can be turned and rotated for years. We recommend tufted for retail floors and knotted for hospitality and private interiors.
Can you make a rug to an unusual size?
Yes, and unusual sizes are actually the most common reason clients come to us. Awkward retail floor plates, L-shaped lobby floors and rooms that are not a standard catalogue dimension are exactly where a custom rug pays for itself, since it finishes the room instead of stopping short of the wall.
How do you match the rug to a brand palette?
Send the brand guidelines and any existing interior references. We develop the rug artwork or pattern in the brand colours, produce yarn and pile samples, and confirm the colour under the lighting of the actual space before the piece is made. Colour matching is done in the room, not just in the workshop.
What about durability in a busy retail environment?
For retail we specify a denser pile, a tighter twist in the yarn and a backing suited to footfall and rolling rather than a soft luxury construction. We can also add edge binding and a border treatment that hides the wear line, and supply a second offcut so a damaged section can be replaced rather than the whole rug.
